Door to Door Collection
- On recycling pick up day, a resident’s bin is placed on a scale, identified by the RFID tag or barcode and then weighed. So Municipalities tracks how many quantity of recycling each household produces per month/ pattern and the households then receive rewards or money credit
- Alternative to the use of RFID tags to identify the waste containers is the use of barcodes
Eco-Center Collection
- Citizens give their separated waste in a specific area called ECOCENTER, where they are identified by PERSONAL CARD (RFID tag or barcode card).
- Waste is identified and weighed. The balance transfers the weight to a PDA via WiFiprotocol.
